God’s Greatest Advice…WWJD

I have no idea what Jesus would do. Let’s call Him up!!

Tell me something. Have any of the following expressions ever escaped from your mouth?  “Awe sucks, that didn’t work!”  “What came over me?  Why did I listen to them?” “I should have known better.  I thought that person was wise!”  “I should have followed my first thought and used Google.  Google knows everything!  Right?”

WRONG!!      I, TOO, HAVE BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!

Seemingly, people in today’s world are constantly seeking words of wisdom from supposedly dependable and intelligent people.  But as it turns out, often then not, they are chasing down a rabbit hole.  In other words, they are becoming engaged in a process that is particularly strange, problematic, and difficult to accomplish, especially as it develops or unfolds.  Realistically, there is no way to know if you can even trust the source.  I found that out the hard way.  Let me explain.

SINCE WALKING IN THE LIGHT…

Thanks be to God, I have learned that true wisdom comes from God and is characterized by the fear(*) of him.  Whether you are seeking spiritual or secular advice, you should always rely upon the acronym WWJD.

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

When I was a young novice entrepreneur, I ventured into a very popular multi-level marketing skim which was based on a lot of hype, false advertising, and disillusions.  I invested and lost thousands of dollars and ended up with a garage full of unused and useless products.  And the sad part was, I had persuaded a few other people to follow in my footsteps.  I regret and repent my actions to this day.

Ironically, wisdom is priceless and cannot be found in a person’s mind neither in a book nor on the internet.  Wisdom comes from God in heaven and disclosed in the Bible for mankind to uncover.  But sins and atrocities committed by people on earth can have an effect on your gaining access to wisdom from heaven.  So, beware!

MY PRAYER FOR YOU:

Dear Heavenly Father, I truly want to make my thoughts obedient to You and to focus them on all things that are beautiful and good and right so that my life will reflect Your peace. I also realize that one day You will enable us to see everything more clearly and to fully understand Your purposes. Thank You so much for increasing my joy in my decision making process because I have now learned to be more mature and god-centered in my thoughts on Whom to trust. Your continued blessings I ask in the Precious Name of Jesus. Amen and Amen.

(*) NOTE:Trembling’ fear.  The kind that envelopes respect, reverence, and worship.

Scripture Lesson“Where then does wisdom come from, and where is understanding located?  It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing and concealed from the birds of the sky.”  Job 28:20

God’s Description Of A Super Woman

Over the years, as I grew closer and closer to Jesus Christ, I began to keep secret diaries of special phenomenal events that happened to me in life.  And before long, I had accumulated a number of file folders full of letters, prayers, scriptures, dreams, and other sacred scribblings (for my eyes only) that retold super natural encounters or conversations I had engaged in with the Holy Spirit.

If my readers will allow me to digress a little, I would love to reveal one of the most amazing conversations I have had thus far with my Maker.  It’s entitled “A Super Women”.

You, too, can communicate with God…even in braille.

“Dear Master:

How Can I become a Super Woman in the family of God?” “If you will listen and obey the commandments of the Lord our God that I am giving you today, He will make you the head and not the tail.” Deuteronomy 28:13

“But Lord, I still don’t understand. For even though I study Your word my heart is heavy more often than glad.” “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” III John 1:2

“Tell me, Master, how can my soul prosper?” “My child, it is written that the just shall live by faith, but if any woman draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in her.” Hebrews 10:38

“Holy Father, do You mean that I am preventing myself from developing into a Super Woman in you because my faith is weak?” “Consider Abraham, he believed in me and it was accounted unto him as righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.” Galatians 3:6, 7

“Than according to Your word, Dear Jesus, if I increase my faith in You, You will bless me and make me a Super Woman.” “Surely blessing, I will bless thee, and multiplying, I will multiply thee.” Hebrews 6:14

“Oh Jesus, You are so good and so kind and I promise to increase my faith and depend solely upon You in everything I do.” “Just remember that…Faith cometh not by your own might…but Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Romans 10:17

“Oh Lord, so that I might understand completely, let me repeat what you said I must do to become a Super Woman in thy house. You also desire that I not only become a prosperous woman, but that my soul be enriched as well. And that all this can be accomplished by increasing my faith in You.” “That’s right, daughter, and you should also remember that without faith it is impossible to please Me.” Hebrews 11:6

” I know what faith is, Lord. It’s like hoping against hope that an incurable situation will get better even though you don’t know how.” “I say it a little differently,…Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

“Thank You, Lord, for this visit and I’m determined to put my faith into practice and not let Satan rob me of my superiority in You.” “Well spoken, my beloved, for the thief cometh not but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy! I am come that you might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

Scripture Lesson: “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:19-20

God Has A Penchant For Poetry

Open Bible with flowers on it
“To me, art begets art. Painting feeds the eye just as poetry feeds the ear, which is to say that both feed the soul.” —Susan Vreeland

Hello, my dedicated readers. For this week’s blog I thought I would present you with an original poem of mine. Actually, I have a file cabinet full of my poems which were written at various stages of my life. I am pleased to say that my Lord and Savior gifted me with talents that require me to use the mighty pen and paper, a typewriter or a computer. I commune with the Lord with all three.

Dear Heavenly Father: Thank You so very, very much for the gift that You, and only by Your grace, have given me. Please Dear Jesus, help me to identify these gifts and to use them only for Your glory. Amen.

When Women Worship
By S. L. Fowler

“W”
When Women Worship
They hold their heads up high…
They Walk in confidence…
Because their Jesus is nigh.
When Women Worship
They feel Worthy and are convinced…
That they are in the Lord’s presence…
And protected by His defense.
“O”
When Women Worship
They Open up their hearts…
They pour Out undying love…
On the least Of them and the lost
They look for Opportunities
To bless their fellowman…
To Offer encouragement…
And to instill Order wherever they can.
“M”
When Women Worship
They Manage to forgive…
They try not to Mention Malice…
They Mask their hearts from within.
They take advantage of each Moment
To Muster sacrificial love…
To shower it upon their Mentors…
In order to please the Man above.
“E”
When Women Worship
Their very presence Electrifies…
Every audience they Entertain…
Causing their Enemies to take wings and fly.
They are Especially hard on ole Slew Foot
Causing the last Enemy to flee…
For he would rather Evaporate…
Then to take a knee.
“N”
When Women Worship
They Nurture God’s flock…
They Neither loose hope Nor the sight of glory…
Why?  Because they pray a lot.
Women Neutralize opposition
By memorizing God’s Nomenclatures…
And reciting them back to the people…
While including all of his creation; mammals and human nature.

God Is Calling Us To Meet Our Needs Through Praying

That’s for me to know and for you to find out!

There is a popular bank commercial that starts out with the announcer asking, ‘What’s in your pocket?’  Next, he goes into a litany of benefits as to why you should consider applying for one of his bank’s lines of credit, whether it is through a credit card, loan, or debit card to supply your needs.  All his message is after is that in the end, he is successful in shackling you to become indebted to the bank he represents.

There is another popular Announcer out there softly and tenderly hawking His products to the masses that He claims will bring you great benefits if only you will try them.  His question to the populace is, ‘What’s in your heart?’  He is suggesting that you plug into His 4 “P’s” — Presence, Power, Perception, and Purpose.  And the way to do that does not require you to apply for anything.  All you must do is to ask, seek and knock though the act of prayer.

Mother and Son praying together.

The good part about the second Announcer is that He is willing to help you accomplish your goals.  All you must do is to find a quiet, secluded place with few distractions.  And begin praying with the understanding that He already knows your heart’s needs and desires before you ask.  So simple use this acrostic while praying:  A.C.T.S.

A = Ask C = Confession T = Thanksgiving S = Supplication

A True Story…

Some years ago, I was in my kitchen preparing dinner when I heard a very troubling report on the radio. I immediately stoped cooking, turned off the stove and began to pray about the incident. All of a sudden, I heard a voice whisper: ‘Get on your knees.’ As I began to kneel down, very gently, ‘Somebody‘ pulled my legs out from under me and placed me faced down flat on the floor. The floor tile was extremely hot against my face. I begin to pray with all my heart and with all my soul.

The message that I received from that above experience so many years ago was that if you really want to learn how to pray for certain situations, do not take God for granted. Prayer is a powerful tool to use when seeking God’s help. In prayer, you are seeking God’s four “P’s”…his presence, his power, his perception and his purpose. Allow him to orchestrate and implement your posture as he sees fit.

I have witnessed those in deep prayer to weep, dance, twirl in laughter, speak in tongues, remove their shoes, stand, tremble, kneel, sit and faint.

My unadulterated prayer for you is this

Precious holy Spirit, you know how much we all struggle to pray. We humbly ask that you please teach us to pray earnestly according to your will and your way. And if we do not manage to get it right, please, please, pray and intercede on our behalf to our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. Amen and Amen!

Scripture Lesson: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
