Sometimes it’s good to sit under the tutelage of anointed men of God. Especially when prompted to do so by the Holy Spirit. I was introduced to Dr. Munroe by one of my WordPress ‘followers’ named Jerome on this WP blog site. Needless to say, I was truly blessed and decided to reblog Dr. Munroe’s message by passing it on to you guys.
So, take a sabbatical from reading one of my personal blogs for this week and keep an open mind for just ten minutes and learn a spiritual principal about why we sometimes do not have our prayers answered because we are praying amiss and/or undeserving. Perhaps your knowledge of God’s economic 101 plan will increase under Dr. Munroe’s private tutoring. Just click the ‘red’ website below. Be sure to leave a comment and be sure to engage the Holy Spirit…for ‘in all thy getting, get an understanding’.

Let’s sign off with a bit of inspirational humor from Cal and Rose Samra’s book entitled, More Holy Humor.
“Fr. Richard Carton, associate pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, was speaking to a group of second graders about the resurrection when one student asked, “What did Jesus say right after He came out of the grave?”
It was a question of great theological importance, but Fr. Carton had to explain, in words suitable to his young audience, that the Gospels do not tell us just what He said.
The hand of one little girl shot up. “I know what He said, Father,” she insisted.
“And what was that?” asked Fr. Carton.
“Taah-daah!” the girl exclaimed. (Submitted by Andy Fisher; Denville, New Jersey. P. 87)

Wow – what powerful words. I pray that I do not have the poverty mentality Heavenly Father. I pray that Thou Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Sister Fowler, I booked marked this message for future reference for me when I start worrying or feeling distressed.
Thanks for sharing.

Dear Cathy, for sure God knows our hearts. And since God is all-knowing, it’s understandable that he would not grant favor to our prayers that he already knows we cannot handle. In our ignorance, because God does not grant favor to us, we become frustrated, judgmental and wavering in our faith. May we always pray that the Lord will ‘…give us THIS DAY our DAILY bread (daily provisions).’ Object Lesson: When we hoard ‘bread’, we will choke on it. (Reread the OT story about the manna God provided from heaven and its consequences for disobedience.

I loved hearing Dr. Munroe. My introduction to his wisdom was a message on God’s sovereignty in which he explained that God doesn’t start a thing until he has already finished establishing purpose and outcome. This kingdom message is what we need to remember and I will concentrate on spending less time on the death and more time remembering the kingdom. One of my favorite scriptures is Matthew 6:33. Thanks for the reminder to seek the kingdom.

Hello Edna, please forgive me for not responding sooner to your comment above. Today, I received a ‘like’ from a new person who is not following me on this blog post. And that’s when I noticed I had not commented on your reply. Yes, Matthew 6:33 says it all and is a powerful lesson on how kingdom kids should prioritize their life-maturing events. Oh, what a beautiful and fulfilling life we could all experience if we would just yield. Amen!
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
