God’S Mode Of Operation – Eternal Tranquility

This free-standing bronze sculpture shows a nude, muscular man sitting on a rock and resting his chin on the back of his right hand, with that elbow propped on his left knee. In this photograph, the man’s body is angled slightly to our left. He hunches a bit as his body twists so his right elbow, on our left, reaches the opposite knee. His other rests along his leg so the hand dangles beyond the knee. The man has short-cropped hair, a furrowed brow, an angular nose, and lines around his mouth and eyes. The foot on our right rests higher on the rock so that knee juts up a little higher than the other. The bronze has a greenish patina, especially noticeable along the top of the man’s head and shoulders and the front of his lower legs.

Let’s contemplate on something…

Have you ever been on a vacation and wished you could remain their forever? Now, within that same frame of mind, can you continue imagining doing a lot of good for a host of other human beings?

Do you realize or understand that this state of being which you(*) have entered is called/classified as ‘the state of tranquility’. But what is more complexing is that it will not last. The very spelling of its name gives you a clue. The prefix ‘tran’ at the beginning of the word denotes ‘change’. Therefore, the meaning of the state of mind you currently find yourself in will only last for a short time. (Other words relative to this example are transient, transfer, translate…similar words denoting a change is coming.)

Now let’s return to those beautiful, dreamy vacation thoughts and your desire to remain there forever. For there you had allowed yourself to enter into a state of being calm, peaceful and free from stress, worries or disturbances of any kind. A feeling of serene contentment you get from a quiet natural setting.

I experienced that feeling of serenity once, but honestly, it did not last very long. Once I returned to everyday life, blindly, I started picking up every day ‘life’ stuff. My nerves were a wrecking ball, my stomach was disagreeable and started rejecting everything I ate. The telephone began allowing every tele-a-marketer on earth to call me and I had another milestone birthday that caused me to become eligible to receive literature from the Octave Online Therapy Clinic. Enough already!

It was about that time when the Holy Spirit decided to visit me and come to my rescue.

My child, the Holy Spirit began...What does the Bible say about finding tranquility? Does it not talk about an inner sense of calmness that "surpasses all understanding" (Philippians 4:7)

I heard you when you talked about allowing yourself to enter into a state of being calm, peaceful and free from stress. But when our Lord and Savior asked you while in that state of tranquility, could you imagine yourself doing a lot of good for a host of other human beings, you did not answer Him. In 1st Peter 3:11, it says, "Let him (or her) turn away from evil, and do good. Let him (or her) seek peace, and pursue it."
And another thing, you never really asked The Father why tranquility doesn't last. If while you were bathing in the sun and dreaming instead of picking up your Bible you would have read in Proverbs 14:30-35 that "A heart of tranquility (is) life (to the) flesh, but causes bones of passion to rot. He who oppresses the poor insults Him who made him,..."

My prayer for us all:

Dear heavenly Father, through this revealing conversation with You, You have once again reminded me of an unfinished encounter I had with the Holy Spirit. I wish to thank You for leaving no stone unturned in my life. The more I study Your word and receive understanding of how to trust and obey You, my life is more and more worth living.

I rejoice in the blessings I receive from Your love and patience with me. And in recognizing that there are so many ways I am not worthy to receive them. Please forgive me, Heavenly Father, and try me one more time. I sincerely pray that I will never be too far away from Your presence. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, my Strength and Redeemer, Amen and Amen

God Travels In Style

What do you know about cars? For one thing, did you know how inefficient they are? I had to laugh when I learned that cars take up a huge amount of space on this planet but get driven around mostly empty. (If you don’t believe me, just take a look to your right and left the next time you come to a stop sign or traffic light.)

Government statistics have reported that private cars driven in the U.S. carries only 1.6 people per trip! So, what we can conclude about cars is that they mostly just sit there, parked in the garage, the driveway, or the street. But, not withstanding, they demand a large portion of your hard earned operating cash!

Okay, I know what you are thinking; what does the above information have to do with having a conversation with God? (I’m so glad you asked.) Well, what I am about to share with you for this week’s blog is a belated conversation that I almost had forgotten to revisit with my Lord some 60 years later, because I had not repented nor thanked Him for His long arm of protection He provided in an area He is definitely an expert in…time perspective.

Here is how I view God travels in style and not in happenstance…

A long time ago, a young but legally of age driver drove his loaded-down car in which I was a passenger 60 years ago. The driver's wife was in the front seat with him, and I was in the back seat. We were traveling a few miles above the speed limit, but our vision allowed us to see straight ahead as well as quick side glances of territories we were currently passing. In other words, the driver had only a 2 dimensional view of scenery that was leading him towards his destination...what was likely to come into view and what had already come into view.

Suddenly, we approached a sharp bend in the road. Just beyond the bend, the highway went into a deep downward slope that allowed the car to accelerate and go even faster down hill. To everyone's horror, the hood of the car came unlatched and flew backwards covering the whole front windshield and blinding the driver's view. We all begin screaming and yelling. 'Stop the car, slow down and stop the car!' Fortunately, the driver managed to maneuver the car off the road and to safety. No harm done. We tied the hood down and continued on our way.

Years later, when I was much more mature and assessing my life with a spiritual barometer, the Holy Spirit spoke to me in the vernacular of God being a safe-stylish driver. He brought back the memory of a frightened girl in the back seat of a car. ME! The Holy Spirit said to me, do you remember wiping your eyes after that situation was over. Well, that was Me comforting you and quietly instructing the driver to use more precaution and adhere to the speed limit. I also shut his wife's mouth so that she did not scold him afterwards. Remember?

During that whole mysterious conversation I want you to know, I did none of the talking. I just listened, cried softly and began to thank God for his strong arm of protection. I also asked for forgiveness for my slothfulness in returning to give thanks.

The Holy Spirit ended His time with me by saying, My Child, I always know where I am going, the condition of the roads and the direction I want to take. In fact, I go directly to My destination and then look at whom I will call to travel on the road; in what state they will arrive at their destination; and what effect their adventure will bear on their lives to come. I'M THE NASCAR DRIVER OF THE UNIVERSE! I TRAVEL IN STYLE!

Always remember the Lord will carry us in His arms where ever we want to go as long as we trust and obey him.

My Prayer For You.

My Dearest Lord, You speak to me in so many different ways -- through other people, through Your Word and through the written word. I Thank You that I can write these things down so that they will not be lost. It is so like the words of Jeremiah 30:1-2: "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you." Amen and Amen

God’s Holy Word Has Something To Say About Colors – Part 3

This blog post will conclude our time together exploring nine of the colors that dominate the creation story in the Bible.  The final three colors featured here in Part Three of “God’s Holy Word Has Something To Say About Colors” are: Purple, Green and Pink.  Needless to say, this has been one of the most fascinating adventures that the Holy Spirit has taken me on.  And for that I am truly grateful.

Illustration of different color meanings in color psychology

The Color Purple

Did you know that the KJV of the Bible refers to the color PURPLE 48 times!  Most likely what contributed to its high demand was its popularity, absorbent expense to manufacture it and exclusivity to obtain the knowledge of how to convert this color into a dye.  In ancient times, only society’s affluent, the higher echelon of the clergy, royal deity, and high government officials could afford to adorn themselves in purple attire.

The ingredients to produce purple comes from the stinky glands of snails (scientifically known as mollusks) which emerged themselves at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea.  The procedure to extract just one pound of retail dye from snails during the ancient Roman Empire days, was for sailors/fishermen to catch and extract the glands from more than four million mollusks. This procedure was because each snail gland only produced one drop of the fluid needed to make this precious dye.

I am quite sure you are all familiar with the famous bible story found in Acts 16 about a merchant seller of purple garments named Lydia.  She was a very spiritual and wealthy Philippians female entrepreneur who, as a gentile, believed in God’s morality laws. She was later converted to Christianity by the Apostle Paul.

Purple has come to associate it self with royalty, wisdom, luxury, and to possess visionary acumen.

The Color Green

I find that GREEN is the strongest of all the colors we have been studying in this lesson.  It is also more descriptive of man’s character than the other eight colors.  Why?  Because Green denotes strength, growth, health, money, and healing…just to name a few attributes.

Listed below are scriptures that bear this out:

Psalm 23:1-2The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.  He makes me to lie down in green pastures:  he leads me besides the still waters.

Luke 23:31For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry:

Ezekiel 17:24All the trees of the forest will know that I the Lord bring down the tall tree and make the low tree grow tall.  I dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish.

Psalm
37:2
For like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.

The Color Pink

PINK is a universal color that is recognized as feminine, immature, romantic, beautiful and sensitive. As to how the color Pink relates to Scripture, pink is believed to represent the compassionate love of God (for he gave his Only Begotten Son), and Jesus is also a friend to the friendless. And let us not forget the faithfulness of his Son who suffered, bled and died on the Cross for all mankind. (Words in italics are listed above in the color chart under the color Pink.

In the Holy Scriptures, the color‘PINK’ is believed to represent the Love of God. How? Because the color Red is Jesus’ blood and White is purity. Therefore, the combination of both colors turns out to be Pink!

(Researchers have concluded that little girls love pink. Little boys hate pink.)

My prayer for you…Cover image

Dear Sweet Jesus: You are so gracious, kind and understanding. I implore You to please forgive my slothfulness in not dedicating my new found life in You to serving you more earnestly. For truly, it is with sincere thanksgiving that I praise You for allowing me to stumble upon these truths concerning how Your assignment of various colors played an intrical part in helping mankind to understand the creation story. Who would have thought that by painting my bedroom a psychedelic red for all my teenage years could have contributed to my high blood pressure problems later in life. (If only I had known You then.)

Therefore, Heavenly Father, please continue to help me change my thoughts. Make me anew, Lord. For I not only want to be born again, but I want to be a new kind of thinker, too.

Help us, Lord…HELP!! In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior I surrender all…Amen and Amen!!!

Scripture Lesson: “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:2

God’s HOLY WORD HAS SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT COLORS – Part 2 (Reprint)

As we continue to proceed with Part Two of “God’s Holy Word Has Something To Say About Colors”, I trust you have not only enjoyed Part One, but have learned something very interesting (based on their description) and gratifying concerning the election of various colors God chose to assign to his creation.  And the beauty of God’s selection of colors is that he did not have to labor over nor give a great deal of thought to his assignments.  That’s because God already knew what mental effects various colors would have on mankind’s physic and mental welfare.

So, let’s continue our study of colors by investigating ‘White’, ‘Back’ and ‘Gray’.

The Color White

In the Western cultures, especially in the Christian Holy Bible, the meaning for the color “WHITE” represents honesty, innocence, purity and cleanliness. But the one symbol that I find the most interesting is ‘hope’. Let’s review how in Genesis 30:25-43, Jacob (later called Israel) whose name means ‘supplanter‘, tricked his boss, Laban, into paying his wages in livestock.

Jacob proposed that Laban allow him to go through Laban’s flock and remove every spotted, blemished and speckled goat, lamb and sheep (livestock that was deemed unprofitable financially), and they be given to Jacob as his wages. By the way, Laban had changed Jacob’s wages ten times, but had never paid him a dime of it.

So, Jacob proposed to Laban that he separate his ‘worthless’ livestock and give them to him as his wages. Laban agreed. Unbeknownst to Laban, Jacob cut branches from poplar, almond and plane ole ordinary trees. He peeled the bark from the branches but allowed stripes of white inner bark to show through on the cut limbs. Next, Jacob, placed some of the branches in Laban’s watering troughs so that they would be directly in front of the livestock when they came to water and to mate.

The Holy Spirit did not communicate to me the meaning of Jacob’s actions, but suffice it to say that Jacob’s shenanigans worked out and flocks of little lambings and kiddings were born with streaks and speckles; enough to make Jacob a very rich herdsman. Those white streaks on the branches were the cause of it all. (And of course, God’s miraculous hand of intervention.)

The Color Black

BLACK” is known as a sophisticated color. This hue is timeless and classic. It symbolizes strength and power. Black is also the most popular color in the advertising/signage world. There is also an air of mystery, disception and evil associated with this color. In scripture, God says that He formed the light (to depict righteousness) and he created the darkness (to be the consequence of disobedience, sin and trespasses. (Isaiah 45:7)

Black is also associated with our sins, moods of depression, loneliness and harboring pessimistic feelings of anger.

Question? So why do we say: “He/She told a little ‘white’ lie? Why isn’t the question; “He/she told a little ‘black’ lie?” Go figure!!!

The Color Gray

While the color black represents Good Friday in the Christian world, the color ‘GRAY’ represents the season of Lent and is closely associated with fasting and prayer. And naturally the color gray denotes repentance and maturity (Senior citizens).

In some circles, psychologists define gray as a color that fosters stability. It is preceived as being a neutral color and brings balance and harmony. At other times, gray adds sophistication to situations like being a go-between for the colors white and black.

Sometimes you hear people express a particular negative mood that they are in, such as: A gray mood or a melancholy mood. The root syllable for melancholy is ‘mel’ which denotes bad or evil and the ending is ‘holy’. Could this color silently signify that God is not pleased with our wishy-washy sacrifices of praise. (I’m just sayin’!!!)

PLEASE RETURN NEXT FRIDAY, MARCH 11, 2022, FOR PART THREE OF THIS HIGHLY INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE SUBJECT ON COLOR PSYCHOLOGY IN THE BIBLE. HOPEFULLY, MY RESEARCH ON THIS SUBJECT WILL HELP INCREASE YOUR BIBLICAL KNOWLEDGE ON HOW GOD EMPOWERED ALL OF US TO SEEK AND LEARN MORE ABOUT HIS GOODNESS AND MERCIES CONCERNING THE SECRETS OF CREATION.

My prayer for you

My Dear Lord and Savior, please make me willing and unashamed to witness to others about my relationship with You. Help me to develop scriptures along with my own life experiences around colors that can represent You in a mighty and truthful way. Empower me to show them Your marvelous will and Your loving precepts. Guide my enthusiasm and direct my search for resource materials like children’s bibles that come with colorful felt swatches of materials that will help me use colors in my delivery of Your truths. And then use those whom I have witnessed to and whom You have empowered with the Holy Spirit to spread the Gospel to their families, friends and communities. I ask it all in the precious Name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Scripture Lesson: “Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him. “We have found the Messiah” (that is the Christ). John 1:40-41

Colors affecting emotion and mind. Waste paper and head silhouette
Applying Color Psychology in Everyday LifePart ONE of THREE

Have you every thought about just how much God’s choice of color for all of his vast creation affects man’s psychological persona and the recording of history? Well I have. When I began to write this post, I consulted the Holy Spirit on this subject and He reminded me of the vivid role a certain sea had at the culmination of what had been a benign relationship between two nations. That sea’s name was called…

The Red Sea

In Exodus 15:4-5 NIV “Pharaoh’s chariots and his army he (God) has hurled into the sea. The best of Pharaoh’s officers are drowned in the Red Sea.”

Now take a look at the definition of “RED” in the color chart below and imagine how many incidents you can ascribe to the events in the Bible concerning the Red Sea. List some of the danger and excitement it caused. For instance, the daring trust and faith the Hebrew people had to place in God that the wind forces would hold back the waves. In addition to how the Hebrews felt, I am quit certain you can think of other emotions listed on the chart that Pharaoh’s army felt that affected their psychic. For after all, this conquest was a bloody one and that color is also red.

The Color Yellow

Yellow and the color gold are used interchangeably in the holy scriptures. This color mostly represents loyalty and suffering. Golden crowns are placed on kings heads and a person who is suffering from leprosy has a skin condition that has turned “YELLOW”. So joy, cheerfulness and loyalty are associated to kings, while caution and intelligent decision making are to be exerted when exposed to contagious diseases or fuels that expend energy and warmth, such as a blazing fire whose hue is described as yellow. Such traits are listed on the chart.

In Leviticus 13:32 NIV: “On the seventh day the priest is to examine the sore and if the itch has spread and there is no yellow hair in it and it does not appear to be more than skin deep, he must be shaved except for the diseased area, and the priest is to keep him in isolation another seven days.”

The Color Blue

Have you noticed that blue is the color of the sky as well as the color of deep waters here on earth. So the world is surrounded with the color blue. Therefore, when we look up at the endless span of space we can imagine a place where we can ascend and be far above all of our trails, worries, and disillusions. When we look deep into the blue sea or ocean or even the water in a fish tank, we can imagine floating away or sailing away or just wondering away from the havoc and destruction down here on this world. This color evokes peace, tranquility and calmness.

A number of Bible scholars have attributed the 7 colors of a rainbow with the 7 Names of God. Further more, they have assigned meaning to the 7 rainbow colors. The 7 colors of a rainbow are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. (The acronym “ROY G. BIV”) is a handy reminder for the rainbow color sequence.

I personally believe the Bible scholars took the time to ascribe meaning to the rainbow colors because there is no reference to the color BLUE in all of scripture. Since well documented miracles have been recorded about supernatural healings and the bearers of those miracles have also reported to doctors and historians that they imagined they saw a “blue” hue light glowing all around the phenomenon, the color blue took on character traits of having healing powers. Thus associated with one of the names for God: Jehovah-Rapha—The Lord Our Healer.

In Exodus 15:26 NIV: He said, “If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.”

Be sure to meditate on all of the attributes of the color blue listed in the chart below. For they are ascribed in the Rainbow.

In Genesis 9:12, 13, 15b TNIV And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you (Noah) and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come. I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.” (Read the “Blue” list in the chart below and weep for joy. Hallelujah!!! and Amen!!!)

END OF PART ONE

PLEASE RETURN NEXT FRIDAY, MARCH 4, 2022, FOR PART TWO OF THIS HIGHLY INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE SUBJECT ON COLOR PSYCHOLOGY IN THE BIBLE.

My prayer for you: Dear Heavenly Father, please make me into a child of the light. For I have put behind me the dark light of sin. Please continue to break me and mold me into the light of the Lord. Help me to expose sin and be willing to work on my relationships with other people. Most people realize that certain colors can affect one’s disposition and character. Do all that is necessary to make me an instrument of Thy peace. Help me to develop this biblical truth of recognition of various colors so that all will be able to connect to your invitation to a glorious life in You. Amen and Amen.

God Really Does Love Me; He Truly Knows My Name

Two weeks ago I published a blog about the spiritual name I believed the Holy Spirit had anointed me with: My name is “Sought After.” For further proof of this special anointing that transpired all those many years ago, please allow me to enlighten you as to what happened to me this week in regards to assembling my thoughts for this current blog.

Upon retrieving an old folder from my file cabinet, I came upon a rough draft copy of a letter written by me to the Dear Heavenly Father! The once white typing paper was now yellow stained, tattered and wrinkled, with a faint pencil notation on it that read ‘1994’!

As I re-read the letter that I had penned to Our Heavenly Father approximately 55 years ago, I was astonished at how I had identified the subject matter of the senders of its contents. Although the letter was being sent to God on behalf of the Deacon and Deaconess Boards of my church of which I was a deaconess at that time. HOWEVER, I actually used 2 pseudonyms to identify the senders. (Naming them the sons of Jacob and the daughters of Israel.)

The blessing revealed to me was that the Holy Spirit miraculously led me to this ancient 1994 communication letter to identify and clarify for me that my name, Sought After, is translated and recognized as God’s daughters of Israel. Therefore, I invite you to read my 1994 conversation letter to God using scripture and be enlightened on how to connect his glorified dots because: “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding.

Dear Heavenly Father,

The sons of Jacob and the daughters of Israel who are members of the household of faith at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, have gathered in this place to once again give all praise and honor to your Name.

For we realize, Dear Master, that all gifts and benefits come from You. And we rejoice in the knowledge that had it not been for Your son Jesus we would not have had free access to any of Your bountiful blessings.

Also, Dear Lord God, the sons of Jacob and the daughters of Israel wish to thank You for keeping us sturdy and on track in the celebration of Men and Women's Day for 1994. For we have not travelled this spiritual road before. So thank you for not giving up on us and for keeping us Perfectly Joined Together.

For we never took our eyes off Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith....

So, Dear Master, because You sit high and look low and may have caught a glimpse of someone murmuring or received a report of another voicing displeasure at someone's leadership capabilities, we humbly ask your forgiveness and confess that by the love of Jesus, we will strive to learn to be more considerate of one another and to cultivate our Christian lives in common.

Never let it be recorded that any of us said, "I'm on Paul's side," or "I'm for Apollo," or "Peter is my man". For none of these persons hung, bled and died for our sins nor none of those persons can give to us eternal life.

So now Lord, as I close this prayer on behalf of the men and women of this age in life of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, I thank You again for personally calling each of us by name to be in Your service.

Not just anybody, nor will everybody heed the call, but You took a bunch of nobodies and made them somebodies in the Family of God...and for that we give You the praise, all the honor and all the glory. Amen and Amen.

Has God Distributed To You Your Academic Report Card?

Yes, it is that time of year again. And no doubt you are ‘itching‘ to know how you have performed in the service of the Lord so far in the year 2025. Obviously, if your previous test scores needed a little tweaking, you still have approximately 2 remaining months to improve your scores. Well, surprisingly, after I evaluated my last report card, I was not too pleased. So I decided to muster up some humble pie courage and solicit an appointment with my Master of Glorified Living instructor. Prior to keeping the appointment, I practiced my pious, multifaceted-persona appearance.

A small bouquet of roses wont hurt.

After a casual greeting of both minds, I dove right into why I wanted to meet with my professor. You see, I want to place some urgency on this meeting because I felt that the academic pursuit that I had prayerfully selected was not as scholastically rewarding in the long run as some of the other students’ pursuits were. My professor leaned back in his leather chair and made a remarkable comment.

First he asked me if I had prayed to God concerning my choice of college academic studies. A little peeved at his inquiry, I responded, Yes, of course! But then very wholeheartedly I added, but I don’t intend to pursue the highest degree offered in this line of work. The professor was very serious as he gently responded to my outburst. Since you indicated that you had prayed over your choice of studies, do you not know that when God is in the mix of handing out his “job assignments” he does not measure whether the task is great or small, he looks at your faithfulness in pursuing his will and his ways…not yours.

“Brothers [and Sisters], think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards, not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things–and the things that are not–to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. (1st Corinthians 1:26-29)

I once was young, but now I am old. But, because of the protection, love, prosperity, and the protection of the Holy Spirit, the Good Lord has covered me all the days of my life! I have learned to be thankful for all the blessings that the Lord has sent my way. But most of all I pray that my life of gratitude has been pleasing in the sight of God. And my reward will be that I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever and ever. It is my sincere desire to hold on to His unchanging hand until traveling days are over. Amen and Amen!

God Knows My Name

Ms. Sought After

From the beginning, God has a call on all of our lives. He sought me out from birth. I know this because I asked Him. One evening during my prayer and bible reading time, I was led to claim His words that say, “…and you shall be called Sought After.” (Isaiah 62:12b NIV). My name was capitalized right there on the pages of the Bible (O.T.)

Although the timing that the Holy Spirit called me was at a young adult age, like most of you, I turned a deaf ear to his voice. I allowed the voices of Mr and Mrs. Excuse, Aunt and Uncle Procrastination and my favorite cousin Self-willed Willie to have control over my life. They took turns distorting my hearing, understanding, mind, heart, time, talents and my treasures. Enough, all ready!!!

If the truth was told, we all have bodies that come designed with a myriad of voices. Did you know that your persona reflects which voice you are listening to at any given time in your life? At present (and I pray from now on), my persona reflects a contented sheep because the voice I am listening to is that of the Shepherd.

So, when I came to myself, I repented and prayerfully asked the Lord to forgive me for procrastinating in compiling my thoughts into written words on paper. I have also thanked the Holy Spirit for silencing every negative voice that previously had dominion over me. For I once was young but now I am old and am privileged to see just who it was that rescued me from the snares of life. Thank God for those of you whose eyes were opened in your youth and you responded.

But no matter what age, begin seeking the Lord today. Start recognizing the extraordinary methods of operation He is performing in your lives. In my situation, and as my journal writings reflect, the Holy Spirit turned my personal Bible study quiet time into an interactive, stimulating and intimate conversational time with Him.

If You’re Happy And You Know It | Kids Songs –

In this Part Two segment of God Said Open Your Eyes And See The Trees!, the theme is: “Blessed Are The Poor In Spirit For They Shall See God?” You will notice that the title segment ends with a question mark instead of a period. It was intentional. Whenever you share your message to the ‘Trees‘, make certain you keep in mind that your principle subject is always our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And not YOU!

KEEP IN MIND………

Before a person (Tree) comes to God, he or she is most likely poor in spirit. This can possibly mean the person is wandering around in life, doing their own thing. Or, the majority of the time listening to and following bad advice. Possibly, going from one misguided decision to another. Confused. Wasting time, money, resources, strength, and health.

Thus, that person is extremely poor in spirit. But wait! Will they actually ‘see God’? Is there hope on the horizon?

Yes, because in all of thy getting, (and if they live long enough by the grace of God), and through all of their setbacks, one day they will surrender. That will be their day of reckoning. (This is where YOU come in.) That day is when they will be receptive to the Word of God. So far, they have been in the wilderness of life. Now, the ‘Tree’ is ready to come out of the wilderness or that negative thought pattern.

However, first they must realize just Who was always in the wilderness with them anonymously. God was always with that person, however, he did not show himself. But now that the person is ready (has come to himself), God will show himself. For God blesses the meek by attending his ear towards them.

Now the question is…will God show himself! God will surely show himself within a Burning Bush. The burning bush represents all the troubles and riotous living and bad decisions that person has endured. The fire within the bush is the Mighty God. Burning brightly…but not consuming it.

God is going to require the sinner man (or woman) to approach him. But first the person must take off their shoes. Take off Satan. Get off following the wrong path of error.

WHY?

Because now they (the Tree) is standing before God…standing on his path called Holy Ground. God instantly changes the person’s name to Moses which means he has been drawn out of the waters of confusion. (In scripture, water represents trouble. Jesus conquered water by walking on it…putting it under His feet.)

God is in that wilderness that we all go through, but we just don’t see him. We cannot see him as long as we allow ourselves to be slaves to the devil (darkness). We must come to the Light and realize that when the scales fall from our eyes and we see God, we become somebody. We are blessed! We can say, “I AM somebody in/with Christ Jesus”!

Since God and Jesus are One, all God has to say to Moses is ‘I AM who I AM’. (I Am the Father and I Am the Son. I Am the Holy Spirit…3 in one.)

So now that the sinner man is barefooted (has put off error) and standing on holy ground (God) before a bush (his troubles) that is on fire (the 3rd Person of the Trinity), but not being destroyed (the bush is not consumed because trouble will always be with us), now the sinner man who has been brought into the Light is ready to receive his assignment and to begin to work for God/Jesus/Holy Spirit (instead of Satan).

AMEN AND AMEN!

It is now up to you, Oh Special Tree, as one of God’s missionaries, to go into the highways and by ways and teach the “Trees”. If you are a little timid, put on clothing with a message written on it. Carry a few track messages in your pocket. And mostly wear a smile when you are on the J.O.B. Practice makes perfect and you will be strengthened, too. Don’t worry, be happy! And show it!!!!!

God SAID OPEN YOUR EYES AND SEE THE TREES! Part One

Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest! John 4:35

This week’s blog concerns itself with a metaphorically definition of the word “fields”. If you study the picture long enough you can almost see the 3 bikers pedaling back to their village to spread the good news. While in the forrest and after an encounter with the Holy Spirit the trio had already discussed that surely the trees are ripe for harvest. (John 4:35)

According to the parable of the weeds in the field, in Matthew 13:37-43, the field represents the world which is made up of good seed and also bad seed. The good seed stands for the people of God’s Kingdom. The bad seed or weeds are people of the evil one and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

The Holy Spirit guided me to reflect on that remarkable biblical story about the first two children born to Adam and Eve named Cain and Abel.
