I am actually writing this week’s blog on Tuesday, September 24, 2025, rather than on a Friday. But, the big coincidence is that the content for this blog was actually presented to a writing class I attended on the same exact date on September 24, 2004, twenty-five years ago.
At first, I thought this remarkable concurrence of having ‘similar dates‘ had no apparent or causal connection. But in spite of my desires to continue the flow of blogging, my mind was screaming STOP! IN THE NAME OF LOVE BEFORE YOU BREAK MY HEART (**). And guess what I did…I STOPPED!
| …..”MY 2004 ESCAPADES(***)” Presented to My Writers Class Sept. 24, 2004…. |
| I am sitting at my desk, twirling my thumbs Wondering where the words will come from Although time has flown by, it has been two and a half months Since attending my writers class and I have missed you all a bunch As you can imagine, I am truly excited and anxious to rejoin you And to share some of the adventurous 2004 mission duties we performed So I’ll begin by giving you a bird’s eye view of my mission assignments Throughout the continent of South Africa and especially the city of Zambia. I went on a mourning Safari and saw up close wild elephants and giraffes And the entire team of 28 missionaries visited hospitals, schools, and the staff We connected with the villagers by providing food and supplies Surprisingly, the villagers reciprocated by issuing to us home made trinkets Well, the Fall season is upon us And the year 2004 is coming to an end But already I’m planning my vacation days For the upcoming 2005 New Year Hopefully, this time next year I will be in Barcelona, Spain Sailing on an 8-day cruise to the Mediterranean and back again We will visit 6 exciting ports of call that includes the cities of Rome, Nice, Florence and the Tower of Pisa But, who knows, somebody may be interested to hear just how much my grands enjoyed their 2004 voyage on the Potomac River while vacationers in Washington, DC’s Rubber Ducky(****). So, as you can see, I do love to travel And visit while exploring places near and afar But I want this writing class to know how much I’ve missed you all Especially our illustrious teacher, Mr Frank Duval And I hope that your summer, too, has been Full of exciting things to do that have given you great joy. The picture below is a similar type of an amphibious mode of transportation. The picture is not a picture of Washington, DC. This type of transportation can transport passengers on land and in the sea. ![]() SPECIAL NOTE (*) The Holy Spirit impressed upon me to change the title of my September 24, 2004 blog from “My 2004 Escapades” to “God And An Adventurous Traveler..Me” WHY? I believe these instructions were given to me because ‘Escapades‘ denotes empowering someone with remarkable coincidences that may lead to supernatural, occult, or paranormal claims. Such claims do not coincide with Christianity. NOTE: (*) “The author of this Blog.” NOTE: (**) “Stop In The Name Of Love” recorded by The Supremes. NOTE: (***) “Escapades” was replaced with “Adventurous” per the Holy Spirit. NOTE: (****) “Similar transportation to Washington, DC’s Rubber Ducky.” |
First, I recognized that the inner voice communicating with me was the Holy Spirit. He convicted me that I had not prayed prior to starting this blog, although it is a reprint. Nevertheless, a sincere prayer for forgiveness was in order. I whole heartedly agreed, I complied, and now we can continue.
My Prayer for you: Dear Holy Spirit, my Heavenly Dove, I beseech Thee on behalf of all who read this blog to come to the saving knowledge that You and You alone are our sole Teacher. And it is our pleasure to spend some time with You in order to be enlightened. Thank you that You see to it that the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in thy sight. My strength and my redeemer. Amen and Amen!
Scripture Lesson: Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; and let the earth hear the words of my mouth. May my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distil as the dew; as the gentle rain upon the tender grass, and as the showers upon the herb. For I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Ascribe greatness to our God! Deuteronomy 32:1-3

Hello sweet Sister Sonja. I just realized that my notifications for your blog posts is turned off. I’ve since remedied that. Although, I haven’t been spending much time on this site for the past several months, so not sure I would have seen them anyway. 😦 This post is so good and I love the coincidental date posting! You really are very adventurous. ♥ The car on the water is hilarious. Did it really also travel by land? Blessings to you today, my friend. Dee

Hello my sister, Dee. You betcha, amphibious transportation (mobility on land and on water by the same mode of transportation) is alive and well.
But please don’t miss the real divine message in my blog. The Holy Spirit wanted me to be sure to use/apply the correct/proper words when describing events/actions that involve godly pursuits. For example use adventurous instead of escapades. (Please re-visit the above SPECIAL NOTE (*) for the reason why.)
Yes, I’m still at it. Publishing a blog every week. I sure did miss reading your blogs and wondered what happened. Your inspirational message to your followers are priceless. Keep them coming.
