WHERE ARE ALL MY PEOPLE, God wanted to know! Who knew? I certainly did not know. Did you? So, I had a prayerful conversation with God. The atmosphere all around me began to change. And in my quiet spirit, Acts 1:8 welled up in my mind: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Now, I had been set free. The shackles that prevented me from composing this week’s blog was subsiding. Ideas were now flowing and uplifting subjects were coming to light. The answer to God’s question concerning the whereabouts of His witnesses could now be found. While searching through my files I came across something I had written for a Bible Study group in August 2017 entitled “Overflowing Fruit”.

As young and new Christians grow and develop into mature Christians, God expects us to communicate periodically and prayerfully with his Son, Christ Jesus, and report on the progress of those saints placed in our charge. And our grade point average is based on how successfully we have introduced new converts into the workings of the Fruit of the Spirit which is found in Galatians 5:22-24.

There is a reason for God being a tuff Task Master in this situation. Hopefully, you have gleaned from the study of Gal. 5:22-24 that man’s true compelling desires of the flesh (Satin’s modes of operation) are detrimental to how the Fruit of the Spirit is to perform in the life of a Believer. Those to whom Jesus Christ has entrusted the Holy Spirit, He has also given the power via the Fruit of the Spirit.

For guidance in your role and nurturing of those new saints the Lord has placed in your sphere of biblical maturing take a close look at the guiding material you may find helpful. Hopefully, with the incorporation of the Holy Spirit becoming your wings, your prayerful reports to our Father may cause you to seek more earnestly the Fruit of the Spirit as your Cornerstone. Who knows. You may be the cornerstone that the builders accepted!

OUR DAILY BREAD BIBLE STUDY AUGUST 29, 2017 ‘OVERFLOWING FRUIT’ Bible Verse and Definitions for The Fruit of the Spirit (GAL. 5:22-23a)

Act 4:32a Self-control	All the believers were one in heart and mind.	Restraint exercised over one’s own impulses, emotions or desires.
Acts 4:32b Love	No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.	Unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another.
Acts 4:33a Peace	With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.	Freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions.
Acts 4:33b Kindness	And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all…	The quality or state of being kind; affection.
Acts 4:34a Forbearance	…that there were no needy persons among them.	The refraining from the enforcement of something as a debt, right or obligation that is due.
Acts 4:34b Faithfulness	For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales…	Faithful implies unswerving adherence to a person or thing or to the oath or promise by which a tie was contracted.
Acts 4:35a Gentleness	…and put it at the apostles’ feet,	The quality or state of being gentle’ honorable’ mildness of manner; or disposition.
Acts 4:35b Joy John 15:16 Goodness	…and it was distributed to anyone who had need. “…but I chose you…so that you might go and bear (good) fruit–fruit that will last…”	Delight; the expression or exhibition of such emotion. The quality or state of being good. (Only GOD is Good. He alone enables us to bear fruit, not we ourselves.)

My prayer for you…………..

Dear Heavenly Father: You truly light up my life! You know just how to get my attention in so many ways. I am truly blessed and divinely enlightened each time you lift me higher and higher in my understanding of the blessed way you function. Lord You Rock!!! YES, and I claim You as my Source, my Inspiration and my Joy.

Now I have a better understanding as to why you chose those 9 character traits to serve as guide lines for your people to live by as we all strive to be more and more like You! You realized from the get-go that Satin would be out-matched if the people who were called by Your Name would humble them selves and pray as well as put on Your whole armor and clothe themselves in the Fruit of the Spirit..(hot diggity dog)…then Ole slew-foot would find himself unemployed, broken and defeated.

HELP US, HOLY FATHER. TRY US ONCE AGAIN AS WE FOCUS ON DOING THINGS THAT NOT ONLY MAKE US HAPPY, BUT THAT BRINGS HAPPINESS TO OTHERS YOU SEND OUR WAY.
